If you happen to be in the woods and get a bad headache you can generally find willows down by the river and skin the bark off and there is a white substance on the inside of the bark,it is just like asprin
Scrap off two or three limbs and scrap the white substance off and your in business.I would also tell you again that you should already have asprin in your survival pack!!
When cutting wood with a small hatchet or an axe,cut in a V wedge to cut wood.In other words, make first cut on an angle of about 20 to 22 degrees and then make the cut on the opposite side so the second cut will meet at the bottom of the V on the second cut.
Try and not glance off and hit rocks,as you will dull the cuttin edge of our axe or hatchett.
When you are in the woods and by yourself or even with a few people, its not always easy to hop into the car and run to the hospital if you injure yourself. Each step, each movement thats made now while in these remote areas, cannot be make hap~hazzardly
You must take pre~cautions against having accidents.A mistake out there could very well be fatal. A bad cut with a knife or axe or cutting edge could be fatal,if an artery was cut
.While making treks across a mountain or down a trail, you must beware constantly of stepping on usupported rock or stepping on a rattler!!! Like I said earlier, EACH STEP IS SCRUTINIZED!!!! You are truly on your own while in remote areas,so be sure and constantly remember this and remind yourself and others on a regular basis.Better be safe than sorry!!!
